These are two works from a group of six sculptures called the New Organic Species. They have an organic feeling but do not replicate anything in nature. Concave inner spaces with high polished ripples communicate with their convex counterpart. The “dialogue” intimates conflict as well as reciprocity. While these works can be displayed alone, four of them are usually displayed in pairs. There is a sensuality in these works. Hornflower has an inner tension.
