This seven ft. sculpture is Thomases’ only monumental work to date in bronze. It is based upon a 14" high bronze that is available in high polish (Dancer I) or with a rich patina (Tamar). The shapes of the legs and the negative spaces create a sense of lightness and motion. For those curious about the inspiration, read Genesis Ch. 38. Tamar’s face is “covered” with a veil.
