The inspiration for these five sculptures came from a trip to China, particularly from the Shanghai Museum with its many scrolls of poems and paintings from the Tang and Ming Dynasties. One can almost intuit some of the emotions in the poems from the swift moving dynamic lines , even with no comprehension of the meaning. The sculpture on the Gallery page is called The Conductor, 22"H.
