Three different dancers were the live models for these sculptures. Each one designed a mini- choreography with Thomases to help capture the dynamics of dance muscles in motion. Another photograph of The Hop can be viewed on the first page of this web site. It and The Stretch were inspired by Matisse’s large murals that he painted for the main hall of the Barnes Museum. These bronzes are sold individually or as an ensemble.
